There are many superstitions that surround the number 13 (Friday the 13th, the 13th floor of a building, room number 13 — are all ominous), but does that mean that brides are waiting until 2014 to get married just because of an old superstition? Not so much.

There are 800,645 brides signed up on TheKnot.com who have indicated they’re getting married in 2013. (That’s hardly different from the number of members that wed in 2012 and more than the 792,489 brides that married in 2011.)

Clearly, 2013 brides aren’t going to allow a little superstition ruin their wedding days!

It was a wild season for the ladies of Gossip Girl and the season finale (no, we didn’t forget!) was just as shocking as the wedding gown choices for both Blair and Serena. While neither were typical wedding dresses, that didn’t stop them from looking fabulous.

In a long-sleeved, glitzy Elie Saab gown, Blair was radiant and she was definitely not lacking her “something blue.” Paired with turquoise drop earrings, platform metallic peep toes, and obviously a crystal headpiece (signature Blair Waldorf), this girl never let us down in the fashion department.

Serena, on the other hand, opted a much bolder dress for her nuptials back in October. Rocking a metallic gold and white strapless Georges Chakra Couture gown, this girl truly claimed the WOW factor. She accessorized with colored crystal drop earrings and a statement ring to pair with her dramatic, draped ball gown. Would we have really expected anything less?

These trendsetters have set fashion standards high throughout the past six seasons, and I have to admit we’re going to miss this Gossip Girl closet! Both Blair and Serena have unique tastes and styles, but always dressed to impress. Are you more of a Blair (pastel glam dress) or Serena (dramatic metallic ball gown? Kelly Clarkson’s not even engaged, but she recently told Ellen DeGeneres that she is “totally going to get married” to boyfriend Brandon Blackstock. As for her wedding? She doesn’t foresee a big fete, but said “We will totally, probably elope… Eloping sounds good.”
