Floating BandPhotos: Stephen Karlisch & Steve Wrubel
Todd Fiscus and his team of experts at Todd Events turned one couple's reception wedding band into performance art by making them the focal point of the room. The band played atop a stage, which was completely surrounded by cushy silver banquettes -- creating the illusion that the band was floating in the middle of... read more

Most wedding venues come with their own set of built-in decor. Maybe it's a fireplace, an archway or even a large entryway. To make this water fountain look like it was meant to be there, Dallas-based wedding planner Todd Fiscus turned it into the focal point of the space by outlining it with green... read more

The Perfect Welcome Bag

Don't stuff your welcome bags with lots of little tchotchkes that no one will really use. Just a few will do. Take this pretty little welcome bag designed by wedding planner Tara Guerard for example. She tucked the itinerary of events and a mini champagne bottle (because it was a New Year's Eve wedding) into... read more

Your escort card table is a great place to add some of your favorite photos. Garden roses were the perfect romantic addition to the aisle and huppah of this outdoor wedding set in the hills of Santa Barbara. The lush white flowers, simple decor, and all-white palette were stunningly simple and created romantic ambiance without distracting from the gorgeous surroundings. I love that it's the perfect balance between nature and... read more
The right chairs and chair treatments can transform what was a hodgepodge room into something that's elegant and refined. If it's a black-tie wedding, cover every chair in rich, silk fabric and add a coordinating sash. For a wedding that's outdoors, consider using simple chiavari chairs instead of the plastic folding kind. You can also use your chairs to highlight the season. Pay tribute to the time of year by decorating every one of the chairs with a miniature wreath for a winter wedding, or tie fresh blooms to each of the chair backs if you're having a springtime affair.
