A Pretty Peach Wedding at Snug Harbor Botanic Garden from Betsi Ewing Studio

TKB_BetsiEwing_KarenShawn_Promotional
Today's wedding captures one of my favorite color palettes of the summer: peach and gray. It's so fresh and pretty and works perfectly with this Staten Island outdoor venue (at the Snug Harbor Botanic Garden). Beyond all the pretty, it's the fun playful that give this wedding some real personality -- I'm talking mustache... read more

MailboxEscorts_BarbSalzman
We love the shabby chic style of mixing home decor elements with wedding details. So for a bride that wanted each escort card to double as a personal note to each guest (how personal and sweet is that?), Barb Salzman, founder of Hatch Creative Studio, concocted the idea of presenting each letter inside... read more

A southern-style plantation and farm, Barrington Hill Farm, was the perfect backdrop to set the tone. To achieve that sunny-day-in-the-country vibe, Heather and her planner at Alchemy Hour Designs chose a bright yellow and white color scheme and... read more

When Kate and Marcus got engaged, they knew they wanted a wedding in the bride's hometown. While exploring different options, Kate realized her father's ranch was the ideal setting for their day. Friends since childhood, Libby and Joe had an intimate wedding on her parent's ranch in Virgina, which set the tone for a rustic, country affair with tons of custom touches (all of the reception tables were constructed by the bride's father!) and simple rustic details. I love how the neutral color palette of creams, blush,... read more

I love when a couple adds tons of personal touches to their wedding day, and Jordan and James did just that! The couple incorporated their shared love of bears with bride-and-groom teddy bear chair backs and a charitable favor donation made to The American Bear Association. The setting on the shore of Montauk Lake at the... read more

Wendy & Weston's wedding is the perfect mixture of rustic and chic.  The couple wed in an outdoor ceremony with limited decorations, making the bride & groom the focal point.  At the reception, different textures worked together perfectly to decorate the space. Check out the draped linens, place mats and table runner which create an... read more
The right chairs and chair treatments can transform what was a hodgepodge room into something that's elegant and refined. If it's a black-tie wedding, cover every chair in rich, silk fabric and add a coordinating sash. For a wedding that's outdoors, consider using simple chiavari chairs instead of the plastic folding kind. You can also use your chairs to highlight the season. Pay tribute to the time of year by decorating every one of the chairs with a miniature wreath for a winter wedding, or tie fresh blooms to each of the chair backs if you're having a springtime affair.
