Talk about igniting a flame! Check out these videos of three Olympic couples broadcasting their love (and proposals) to the world.

David State proposed to his girlfriend, Christine Langham, while running in the London 2012 Olympic torch relay. Langham was expecting to just watch him run by with the rest of the crowd, but instead he stopped, pulled out a ring — and then continued his journey with the torch!

Even though it’s not a proposal, this video from 2010 Winter Olympics gets us going. Two key moments to watch for: the sheer joy in Marianne St-Gelais’ face when her longtime boyfriend Charles Hameline wins gold for the men’s 500 meter short track speed skating; and when he jumps up and kisses her. Get your tissues ready!

If you’ve ever wondered whether those gorgeous ice skating couples are really just platonic teammates, you’re going to love this one. Not only were Rena Inoue, U.S. Olympic skater, and her partner John Baldwin dating — Baldwin actually got down on one knee on the ice after the pair performed in the 2008 U.S. Figure Skating Championships! We love watching Inoue slowly realize what’s happening. That day, Inoue went home with some bling on her finger and a silver medal around her neck!

Commitment, endurance and strength — these aren’t just what it takes to get through Olympic training, but also the qualities you’d need to save your first kiss until you got engaged! That’s exactly what Jennifer Nichols, a third-time Olympic archer, has done. She told US Weekly that she didn’t have her first kiss (on purpose!) until she was 27 and with her fiance. “I saved my first kiss for the man I knew I was going to marry – my fiance,” Nichols said. “I made that commitment when I was about 13 years old. I knew that I wanted to save my kiss on top of purity. I felt like a kiss was something very special and I wanted to save that.”

Talk about keeping your eye on the target!  Nichols met her fiance, Chris Hardy, while the two were attending Texas A&M. So what’s it like training for the Olympics and planning a wedding at the same time? Nichols says her man is helping out with the details and letting her focus on her sport. “Chris is extremely involved in the planning process,” she says. “We Skype like crazy. We email links back and forth of wedding venues and photographers.” This groom gets a gold medal!
