One way to make sure that red roses look anything but traditional? Hang them from the ceiling! Celebrity wedding planner Mindy Weiss did just that for a dramatic escort card display. Dozens of red roses hung upside down and inside floating, geometric vases make for a unique and surreal look.

Mindy Weiss just has a way of creating fairy-tale wedding designs and this is one of them. Mindy and team brought the outdoors in by hanging flower-laden vines from a chic all-white ceiling. Lining the ceremony aisle with even more lush white blooms created an all-around garden effect.

For this beachside fete, Mindy Weiss, founder of Mindy Weiss Party Consultants, added a bold, modern twist to this romantic set-up. With an aquamarine table runner and citron seat caps, Mindy created an incredible color block effect. The design was also practical: Every other chair was woven with a citron or aquamarine pashmina for the female guests to keep warm in the cool beach breeze. Mindy was able to achieve this stunning look by sticking to two equally bold colors, and using it for all of the table decor from the napkins, to the glasses and flowers. By keeping the canopy above clean and simple with white draping, the bold colors didn’t overwhelm the design, but added the perfect pop of color.

For a romantically draped wedding tent Mindy Weiss hung dozens of stunning prismatic glass lamps. Each lamp was slightly different than the next, which added serious character and visual interest to the ceiling. For another unexpected twist, thick rope was a deliberate solution to otherwise unsightly lamp cords. The juxtaposition of these modern lights mixed with lush florals and long farm tables with vintage mismatched chairs made it all the more dramatic and beautiful.

“There’s nothing like a warm welcome when your guests have made the extra effort to travel to celebrate with you!” says Mindy Weiss, founder of Mindy Weiss Party Consultants. For this US destination wedding in the Sonoma Valley, Mindy designed this wooden welcome box full of tasty local treats. Instead of the typical tote or welcome bag, Mindy kept the wine country setting in mind and designed the the wooden box to resemble a wine crate. The crate held tasty treats from the valley like Sutter Home wine, dried apricots, and chocolates. Small samples of your favorite local snacks make perfect treat for your guests to snack on after a long journey and introduce guests to a bit of local flavor too, yum!

Tossing rice on the bride and groom is a classic tradition, but Mindy Weiss turned up the creativity by coming up with an interactive “wish toss bar.”  Instead of having guests shower the happy couple with the same thing (like rice) guests choose from different options such as rose petals, confetti, feathers and other toss-able trinkets. Vintage drawers serve as the perfect container for the different items and fit perfectly with this rustic, outdoor wedding.
