We’ve seen the gown, now here’s the sketch! Anne Hathaway’s wedding gown was much anticipated and totally one-of-a-kind. Because Valentino is such an Anne fan, he came out of retirement for this one. The designer envisioned the gown specifically for Anne and it was made in Rome where the Valentino team hand painted the train and embellished it with embroidered satin flowers according to People.com.

We love her whimsical tulle gown for it’s romance and feminine off-the-shoulder neckline. She really did look like royalty at her sunset ceremony!

While not everyone has been as accepting of the headpiece, the 1920s-inspired veil was so much embellished that the actress decided to skip the jewelry. She concluded none needed, and I think we would have to agree.

Some of our favorite gowns from this past season incorporated lots of color. From colorful sashes to ombre effects, color has been ruling the runways. What do you think of the gowns below? The Modern Family actress celebrated both her 40th birthday and engagement to 2-year BF, Nick Loeb, this past weekend. While visiting some Mayan ruins in Mexico it is reported Loeb popped the question near the resort in which they were staying.

On to the dress! The question we have is, what is she going to wear? Here at The Knot, we have picked out a few favorites that we think would be a good fit.
