It’s the color palette that makes this brunch table so dreamy. With a soft pastel color palette of lavender and coral and  surprising touches like peach preserve table numbers, Lynn Easton designed the quintessential Southern brunch reception. By including tasty bites like biscuits, popsicles and a crepe cake, the menu at this daytime fete was just as creative as the decor, while the simple place settings kept the feeling casual, yet sophisticated for this garden affair. Crisp white linens and bistro chairs, as well as the garden setting, topped off the dreamy effect!

“The printed suite is a defining element of the event and sets the guests’ expectations for what is to come,” say Lynn Easton, founder of Easton Events. In order to make the invitation suite cohesive, Lynn carried signature elements throughout each piece, including a garland and bee crest with the couples’ monogram. Wispy and ornate calligraphy adds a timeless, elegant look, while a gray inner element, with a custom wax seal, added a contemporary twist.

For a chic modern wedding at the Newseum in Washington DC Lynn Easton, founder of Easton Events made this table glow! Using simple votive candles, a mirrored table cover, clear cylindrical vases filled with white flowers, created the effect of light emanating from the tabletop. The linearly designed tables also directed the guests’ attention to the stunning view of the capitol building. For an added effect Lynn also placed votives around the perimeter of the room, and chose modern ghost chairs to complete the effect. You can buy votives (and customized holders!) in The Knot Shop, and the key here is to buy in bulk to pull off the glowing effect.

“Escort cards can be a challenge when used outside as they don’t always stay in place,” says Lynn Easton. So instead of fighting against the elements, Lynn used an antique ledger to list the guests’  names and table assignments while adding old-world charm to this chic outdoor wedding. The result? The seating chart became an interactive experience for the guests as they gathered around the book to find their places. For a cohesive look rent antique furniture and add other vintage paraphernalia like cameras, binoculars, or typewriters and an ornate candelabra for a romantic effect with a homey touch.

These vintage drawer knob escort cards by Lynn Easton, founder of Easton Events, show that inspiration can be found anywhere, including a home goods or hardware store! This colorful wedding was inspired by the bride’s BHLDN (Anthropologie’s wedding shop) style and featured other vintage wedding details like chunky wooden candlesticks, amber and turquoise glasses, and earthenware bowls for a boho chic and retro look! The key to getting the look? Mismatched knobs paired with stationery featuring a bright floral motif make for a cute and kitschy display that’s still sophisticated. To create an intimate space in an otherwise large outdoor ceremony area like this one, with rolling farmland and canopied trees, Lynn Easton founder of Easton Events scouted the area first and then decided to go with ceremony seating in the round. Guests were seated in an arch-like arrangement, and a large tree served as the ceremony altar. ”I love when I can scout out unique ceremony sites where nature can speak for itself,” she says.
