Meet Aireal & Matt:

Matt and Aireal are originally from the same Michigan town, but met one another in New York City — home of the fabulous Dream Wedding location! Because The Big Apple is such a special place to them, they have already been planning a NYC destination wedding. They would love to win the Dream Wedding so they can fly in both their families to celebrate this special day with them.

Fun fact about the couple:
Matt had a super unique and adorable proposal for Aireal. Since music is her love – second to Matt of course, he wanted to write her a song but didn’t think he could compose or preform it. He decided to contact the lead singer of her favorite band to see if they would write music for his lyrics. The band actually agreed! Within three weeks they had taken Matt’s words, put them to music, sang, and recorded the song. The band added extra instrumentals to the end of the song to set up his proposal. How sweet is that?

Meet Amy & Bryan:

New York and New Jersey natives Amy and Bryan are currently in the process of uprooting their lives and moving south to the Sunshine State. A NYC wedding would be prefect for the pair since the tri-state area already is home to many of their friends and family.

One of the biggest wedding planning challenges the couple has faced is getting their budget to match their needs. From flowers to food — Bryan suffers from severe allergies. Paying for things like customized menus exhausted a lot of their budget, and because of this they had to make significant cuts to their guest list. The two would love nothing more than to be able to share their special day with all of the important people in their lives. Winning the dream wedding would give them a chance to accommodate Bryan’s needs and celebrate with everyone they love under one roof.

We’re launching The Knot Dream Wedding contest and throwing the first-ever LIVE streaming wedding on TheKnot.com and on Facebook this Valentine’s Day 2013!

One lucky couple will win a wedding in New York City on Valentine’s Day planned by celebrity wedding planner Amy Shey Jacobs and TheKnot.com editors.

It gets better: Every wedding planning detail is going to be voted on by Knotties (ahem, you!). Roses or peonies? Buttercream or fondant? We’ll find out when you cast your votes!

So here’s how it will go: We’ll bring in special guests to share the latest and greatest wedding trends and wedding planning tips; we’ll be creating customized wedding Pinterest boards for every element of The Knot Dream Wedding — from ridiculously gorgeous wedding gowns to beautiful bouquets and fabulous wedding cakes; and so so so much more. Once it’s all been curated by the industry’s top experts, we’ll leave the voting up to you to have the final say on every element of the winning couple’s wedding.

As the weeks lead up to the big day, we’ll be checking in with our couple every week via video blog to get their reaction to what’s been chosen for them.

So when does all this amazingness start happening on TheKnot.com? We’re opening up entries to The Knot Dream Wedding contest on October 15th — and we’ll be looking for the smartest, cutest, most-amazing love story video and photo submissions!
