It’s about to be proposal season (that time between the four big holidays — Thanksgiving through Valentine’s Day) when the majority of couples in the U.S. get engaged. To some women, there’s nothing more romantic and magical than the idea of a Disney proposal. Here are our favorite Disneyland and Walt Disney World proposal spots!

After months of planning to say their “I do’s” at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando hotel and resort near Walt Disney World, Lakisha & Baron Lattimore discovered that their JFK flights had been canceled due to Superstorm Sandy and all that she had wrecked havoc on in the greater tri state area.

Rather than let Sandy ruin their special day, Lakisha and Baron Lattimore escaped from their devastated Brooklyn, NY home by chartering a bus to take friends and family down to their destination wedding location in Orlando, Florida early Thursday morning. Gown in hand (refusing to let it get wet), Latisha had always dreamed of her Disney fairytale wedding and that’s exactly what she got.

Despite severe flooding and evacuation craziness, the couple and their 80 wedding guests made their way to paradise (just a short 1,100 miles away). The bridal party was on time for their Friday evening vows and fireworks sealed the deal. The couple is living proof that love conquers all.

According to WESH.com the couple had planned to honeymoon in Orlando, but they decided to head back to New York and help with clean up efforts instead. We are so happy that Baron still got to kiss his bride!

Congrats to Mr. & Mrs. Lattimore!

DSW’s newest and hottest shoe release (coming soon) is a line of Cinderella inspired pumps called The Glass Slipper Collection. Jewel tones, embellishments, and peep toes make up the slippers that will also be super affordable. Ranging in price from $60-$90, these bridalicious shoes will make you feel like princess walking down the aisle. Note: Prince Charming not included.

Available in-stores and online at DSW.com beginning October 1, 2012, they will be marked with a blue jewel and an embossed carriage logo on the sole. It will coincide with the “Diamond Edition” release of Cinderella on October 2.

This new DSW-Disney collaboration takes place just after Christian Louboutin’s take on the iconic Cinderella shoe was debuted at Paris Fashion Week. However, don’t plan on getting your hands on a pair of those. There were only twenty produced. Read more.

Fashion’s biggest muse this year has been Disney. Designers have been turning to Minnie Mouse for London Fashion Week and Barneys New York has announced it’s latest holiday campaign to include fashionista Disney cartoon characters (I’m obsessed!). It is definitely the year for Disney.

The most iconic accessory in fairytale history is now in the form of a red-soled Christian Louboutin. Thanks to a little Disney magic and Louboutin collaboration, this limited-edition Cinderella shoe was revealed on Wednesday night at the Palasi Brongniart in Paris, during Couture Fashion Week.

It was crafted to be imagined as glass, and is made mostly transparent with white lace details, Swarovski crystals, and sparkling accent butterflies.

Although Louboutin’s slipper will not be mass produced, the designer has announce that 20 pairs will be given away worldwide this fall. Making Louboutin the fairy godmother of a few lucky modern-day Cinderellas, if you ask me. Disney and Louboutin are scheduled to release details on the giveaway August 17!

Disney’s Diamond Edition release of Cinderella on Blu-ray and DVD in October of this year was coordinated with the special shoe unveiling and will also feature Christian Louboutin himself in a classic Disney 10-minute short. In the spirit of his own personal Disney favorite, Bedknobs and Broomsticks, it is called The Magic of the Glass Slipper: A Cinderella Story and will appear as a bonus feature on the new re-release of Cinderella.
