Lace lovers, listen up! Justin Alexander‘s brand new signature collection is drenched in tons of this trending ladylike fabric — but with an ultra-glam edge. Our favorite looks featured classic silhouettes but with generous sprinklings of glittery details and crystal beading, along with elaborate embroidery and a chic metallic underlay.

You heard it here first! Austin Scarlett from Project Runway (and Project Runway All-Stars!) made his debut this season at COUTURE. Here’s a little fact you might not know: Austin Scarlett has been designing bridal for years! He even worked with Amsale’s Kenneth Pool line for three years.

But this year he’s launched his own dreamy line of gowns. And though he only brought a few dresses to give us a taste of what’s to come in the next months, we we’re just drooling over this number. But he didn’t stop with just a beautiful silhouette — the light-as-air skirt you see is actually detachable, leaving you with a chic ready-to-dance-in reception dress! Loving. It.

Hot trend spotted: Lace is everywhere! That and glitzy details like this sparkled bodice and the subtle glam touches on the middle gown. This bridal market, Anjolique was on trend with their lace-draped dresses and bigger-than-ever ball gowns. But the most exciting thing we heard from Anjolique? The launch of their couture line! That means more customization and over-the-top designs like the gown in the center, which is from their new line.

I love when dresses look spectacular in the front, and then the model turns around. Bam! The back is even more amazing. This navy stunner by Issue New York was our Knot Pick. The swoop neckline and jewel-encrusted back make it so memorable. The best thing about it though is that after your bridesmaids wear it at the wedding, it’s totally wearable again as an evening gown!

Of course Bridal Fashion Week is about discovering new designers, but it’s also the ones that come back again and again (and deliver each time!) that really make it exciting for me. Erin Cole is one of those jewelry designers — her line is stunning every season. Last season we obsessed over her shoulder festoons (detachable tulle straps that transformed your gown from ceremony- to reception-ready) and this time around we ogled over her delicate headpieces. We couldn’t leave her room without snapping a shot of this pearl cuff and glam necklace — definitely on my must-have list this year!

Bridesmaid dresses — they’re more complicated than you think. Thanks to lines like Bari Jay, picking effortlessly stylish looks for the girls (that they’ll actually love) just got a whole lot easier.

Naturally, we snapped photos of the season’s standout looks, but our favorite was a flirty cocktail-style dress in a fresh (and new!) seafoam hue. Plus, who doesn’t love fun floral appliques?

Not only are these styles guaranteed to make your bridal party look seriously glam in photos, but they’re versatile enough to be worn after the wedding!

Don O’Neill, Theia’s Creative Director, said that his new collection was all inspired by a vintage pearl brooch. Pearl elements were found everywhere in this collection from pearl encrusted gowns to pearl enamel sashes.  Another highlight of this collection was the Guipure Lace.  This lace is extremely rare and produced only in one place in the world! Talk about a one of a kind wedding gown!

I was literally giddy today when I stepped into the Temperley showroom and found myself surrounded by the dreamiest wedding dresses. My fav (and it was really hard to pick a favorite) is the center gown with the most intricate and breathtaking beading in the back.

Cool little fact: Every dress in Temperley’s Ophelia 2012 collection has a vintage button sewn in the seam for your something old, a sequin from the new collection for your something new, and a small stitch of blue for your something blue. And all these elements are personally selected by Alice the designer.

It’s that time of the year again…Bridal Fashion Week! Let the wedding dress obsessing begin!  Dennis Basso is known for creating gowns with pizazz. Last season I was in love his sheer bodice gown (with strategic embroidery), but this season it was all about combining traditional and modern appeal. Trends we saw and loved were tiers, sheers and mermaid cuts. His bridal line is sold exclusively at Kleinfeld Bridal.
