No matter how much planning may go into your wedding it’s likely it won’t go off without a hiccup or two. That’s especially the case in The Big Wedding starring Robert De Niro, Diane Keaton, Robin Williams and Amanda Seyfried — to name just a few from the star-studded cast! The movie, in theaters today, follows one large modern family that’s trying to survive a weekend wedding celebration that has the potential to go terribly wrong. A long divorced couple (played by De Niro and Keaton) fake being married during the wedding of their adopted son. Sounds like drama waiting to happen! If you love a good rom-com wedding movie like I do (Psst: I’ve watched My Best Friends Wedding a dozen times), you’re going to want to check this one out.

Simply put, I’m a big fan of all things Disney. It’s official! The cushion-cut engagement ring is the winning wedding detail of our first ever March Madness Wedding Tournament! It was a hard-fought win but the cushion-cut eked by the hydrangea with 51.13% of the vote. Are you surprised? It’s round two of the Final Four in our March Madness Wedding Tournament! Today, it’s the hydrangea versus the romantic flowers wedding cake. Which wedding detail will advance to the 2013 championship round to take on the cushion-cut engagement ring?

We are down to the final round in the Cake Division (the elite 8 of our March Madness Wedding Tournament). Which wedding cake will not only advance to the final four, but be declared the wedding cake style of the year? In yesterday’s flower finals we were shocked when the #4 seeded hydrangea upset the #1 seeded peony! What a bracket buster! That’s why they call it madness. The hydrangea advances one more round with 56.83% of the vote.

Which flower will be declared the 2013 wedding flower of the year — the photogenic Peony or the classic Hydrangea? The flower finals of our March Madness Wedding Tournament is bound to be a close one!

In the ring championship yesterday between the cushion-cut and princess-cut, the princess-cut got off to a quick start, but the cushion-cut proved itself worthy of being declared the 2013 engagement ring of the year as it won with 55.15% of the vote.  The cushion-cut ring will take on the A-Line ball gown on Thursday!
