The Obamas Attended White House Chef Sam Kass’s Wedding Over Labor Day

Just imagine if your Labor Day wedding weekend included a visit from the First Family! President Obama, along with the First Lady and their two daughters attended the wedding of long-time family friend and White House chef Sam Kass and MSNBC host Alex Wagner this past weekend in New York’s Hudson Valley. The wedding took place at Blue Hill at Stone Barns, a working farm and foodie favorite in Pocantico Hills, NY.

Michelle, Sasha and Malia Obama wore black formal attire to the soiree, while the President opted for a classic dark suit as they boarded the smaller Air Force One jet to New York for the event on Saturday.

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
