A police helicopter crew spotted a marriage proposal under way while in pursuit of a stolen car in a north-west London park. The proposal stood out from the rest of the night landscape because its message was spelled out with candles. After capturing pictures of the engagement, officers were curious about the outcome and decided to use Twitter to solve the mystery. “We think we have just seen the most romantic guy in north London,” the helicopter crew tweeted to their 96,000 followers along with several aerial photos of the couple and the illuminated proposal.

Word spread and thanks to the hashtag #willyoumarryme, the crew discovered that the proposal was accepted and the couple is happily engaged and tweeted, “Thanks to one of our followers we have found the mystery proposal couple! They wish to remain anonymous, however…she did say yes!! ;-)”

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
