Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart’s Wedding Video Is Timeless

Actress and fashion icon Lauren Bacall passed away yesterday morning at the age of 89. She made her film debut in 1944, and wowed audiences with her seductive glance, coined “The Look.” Bacall met her husband — acclaimed actor Humphrey Bogart —  on the set of To Have and Have Not, and their chemistry was dynamic. Despite their 25 year age difference (she was 20 and he was 45 when they married), their son Stephen said, “He was the great love of her life, and she his.”

This vintage footage of Bacall and Bogart’s intimate wedding at an Ohio farm house, acquired by TIME from Paramount Pictures, shows the pair cutting the cake together and the bouquet toss. Below, you can even see a sweet peck on the cheek between Hollywood’s original power couple. In her memoir, Lauren Bacall By Myself, Bacall wrote, “What it felt like to be so wanted, so adored! No one had ever felt like that about me. It was all so dramatic, too.” See their undeniable chemistry here:

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
