#WeStillComing Is Our New Favorite Wedding Crasher Hashtag

We Still Comin: Imgur / TheKnot.com Imgur

Let this be a lesson to you: Always know exactly who you’re texting, or else you may give eager wedding crashers a golden opportunity, like Detroit couple Kristen and Rob did.

According to News.com.au, the bride and groom texted out invites to their prewedding photo shoot and barbecue on June 14, and as it sometimes happens, one of their messages was sent to a stranger.

“You have the wrong number but me and my boys will be there,” the uninvited guest said. After Kristen said that strangers weren’t invited, they persisted, “We still coming,” which started a viral photo and trending hashtag.

And in an Instagram photo with the image of the text, it does look like the bridal party and the crashers, who weren’t messing around, did indeed join in on the fun.

While some say this is just an Internet hoax, we sincerely hope you don’t get any texts close to your wedding from an uninvited ex-boyfriend and his new girlfriend that says, “We still coming.”

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
