55% Of Couples Have A Wedding Hashtag (And More From the #SocialWeddingSurvey!)

It’s true! More than half of weddings come with a special wedding hashtag and to put that in perspective, only 9% of weddings had a hashtag in 2012. These stats come from a survey we recently conducted with Mashable. And for those of you in the midst of booking a venue or looking for wedding dress inspiration, it probably doesn’t come as a total surprise that wedding planning apps and wedding day status updates are, statistically speaking, a totally normal part of getting married. See all the fun facts below and then share your favorite using #socialweddingsurvey!

I would totally do it! If you do it that way, you can always go back and look through all the posts! :)

Hashtag printing at weddings is the “disposable cameras at the tables” for the Instagram generation with the modern twist of everyone has a camera in their pocket and you can provide instant gratification by printing and displaying everyone’s photos in real time. Check out BYO Booth for the software, or ask your photo booth professional for it by name.

Great report – thanks guys! Particularly interesting is the fact that 68% of couples want to see their social posts live in real-time. That’s exactly the same reason why we created our service, which allows couples to both collect all the photos with their hashtag and display them live too. If you’d like some help for your wedding just let us know – we’d be happy to help.

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
