Every Detail of This Glam Chateau Wedding Is Regal

After a four-year engagement, Carla and Margaret, while on holiday visiting family, finally decided to take the plunge and set a date for their wedding. “We decided 2014 was going to be OUR year,” says Margaret, “What were we waiting for? When we landed at Newark airport I immediately called my sister and said, ‘This is it – we are getting married THIS year!’ It was full steam ahead after that.”

The couple wasted no time — within a week of returning home, Carla and Margaret had found the perfect venue — Pleasantdale Chateau in West Orange, New Jersey. They were completely blown away by the regal look and timeless appeal of the Chateau, from it’s expansive grounds to the vaulted, octagonal ceiling in the ballroom and the space’s sophisticated European charm.

Enlisting the expertise of Jenny Orsini Events to help with the finer details was an obvious choice. “We wanted our wedding to reflect a true feeling of romance, love and sheer elegance,” says Margaret. Orsini worked with the couple to bring their vision to life with an autumnal color palette, rich, textured fabrics and lavish floral arrangements designed by A Touch of Elegance. A beautifully draped floral huppah, custom designed aisle runner by The Original Runner Company, a crystal and gold embellished five-tier Cakes by Stef! cake and custom gold foil invitations by Paper Works and Events played up the day’s regal vibe.

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
