Bright Yellow Strapless Chiffon Dress

"What's more summery and elegant for a wedding than this yellow chiffon cocktail dress? I wore this for a wedding last summer and loved the playful ruffles and form-fitting strapless top. Bonus: Since it's such a fun and bright color, you can color block with lots of pretty jewel tones! " -- Ivy Jacobson

Colorblock Maxi Dress

"In July I'm headed to an afternoon seaside wedding in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, so this dress is perfect because the midi length is the right balance between semi-formal and casual. I'm also drawn to longer length dresses on the beach because there's less risk of exposure if I'm caught by surprise in a strong gust of wind!" -- Simone Hill

New Horizon's Summer Maxi Dress,, $53

Coral Spaghetti Strap Maxi Dress

"If I weren't a bridesmaid in the two summer weddings I'm going to, I'd be easy breezy in this coral number from AYR. It's a dress you could wear a hundred times after the wedding, dressing up or down with the right accessories. I'm going to snatch this up for the rehearsal dinner of a Labor Day country club wedding and pair with a long gold necklace and flat sandals." -- Bridget Clegg

The Only Dress,, $225

Black Racerback Jumpsuit

"I'm heading to an outdoor Lake Tahoe wedding in mid-September and didn't want to go with a standard sundress. I love the idea of a black jumpsuit that you can dress up or down with accessories. I'm thinking of pairing this with a bold gold necklace and chunky earrings. I also like the racer neckline and the sultry slit along the spine. It gives it an added edge. " -- Rachel Torgerson

Racerback Jumpsuit,, $85

Peach Floral Maxi Dress

"This delicate, floral-printed dress is perfect for the garden wedding I'll be headed to in early September. Paired with a laid-back side braid and gold drop earrings, it has a feel of relaxed elegance. The fabric is lightweight enough for a hot summer, but still has good coverage in case it's a breezier night." -- Corine Brosseau

Peach Blossom Maxi Dress, $248

Navy Cap Sleeve Lace Dress

"This dress was perfect for a Connecticut May wedding. The cap sleeves were appropriate for a religious ceremony, but the lace detailing in the back added a little extra something special. I love knee-length dresses for more casual weddings--that way, I can let loose on the dance floor with no risk of catching my heel! " -- Caty Bennett

Trina Turk Tender Love Care Dress,, $35

Black Shift Dress With Pockets

"I like versatile pieces that I can wear again and again, so this black shift dress couldn't be more perfect. Its great for a semi-formal or casual wedding and can be easily dressed up with a statement necklace and gold accented heels or down with a simple pair of gladiators." -- Libby MacCarthy

Indigo Halter Maxi Dress

"My husband and I are attending an outdoor wedding in Aspen in July and something about these feathers just felt *right* for an evening in nature. I love the sexy back and the high-low hem (this is key when you're just shy of six feet tall and nothing is ever long enough). Best of all, the dress is really versatile--great jewelry and killer heels can take it from a beachside dinner to cocktail party chic." -- Lauren Kay

Ibis Strappy Long Dress,, $675

Aqua Floral Maxi Dress

"This printed maxi dress is perfect for casual or black-tie weddings. The floral print and the pleated detailing are beautiful but not so attention-grabbing that you'll steal the bride's spotlight! And in addition to summer weddings, you can wear this to an outdoor garden party and fit right in." -- Jamie Miles

Coral Hi-Low Silk Charmeuse Dress

"This dress was so perfect for an elegant black-tie affair at the New York Botanical Gardens on a hot summer day.The high-low length provided an airy breeze, to keep me cool and comfortable, and the way the long chiffon fabric flowed was gorgeous for strutting around the gardens and ballroom! I also love the bright coral color, which really pops in pictures! " -- Kelsey O'Toole

Blue Floral Cocktail Dress

"You can pair with flats for a casual look or sexy stiletto heels for a more formal affair. My summer wedding essentials also include SPF 50 Dermologica to avoid awkward tan lines and wrinkles. I also think you don't need much makeup for a summer wedding since it's hot and likes to sweat off, that's why I use Bobbi Brown Bronzer." -- Sarah Love

Alice + Olivia Foss Fitted Cutout Dress,, $440
