Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson Had a Co-Ed Bachelorette-Bachelor Party!

Jessica Simpson: FameFlynet / FameFlynet

Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson’s Fourth of July wedding is just more than three weeks away, so what did the couple who’ve been engaged for four years do for their wild bachelor and bachelorette parties? Spent them together!

Jessica and Eric rounded up 40 of their closest friends and family members (including Jessica’s mom and their wedding party members) on June 8 and went to Eveleigh restaurant in LA, according to Us Weekly. The co-ed bachelor/bachelorette party group shared small plates of ceviche and squid. And even though their bash didn’t include strippers or naughty party props, there was plenty of alcohol.

“They kept raising their glasses,” the outlet reports. “They were having a great time. There was a lot of vodka…and they had champagne for toasts too.”

After dinner, the party continued at the Warwick for dancing, where Jessica wore a sheer black mini-dress with a dotted illusion neckline. Get it, Jess!

“They didn’t want a traditional bachelor-bachelorette where they go off and do their own thing, because our group of friends is so close we just wanted to all be together,” bridesmaid Stephanie Terblanche told People. “This is what we would do anyway. We would all go out, and I think that this speaks for the group. If we are not going to be at someone’s house hanging out playing beer pong, this is the closest thing to it.”

Would you have a co-ed bachelor/bachelorette party, Knotties?

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
