Kimye May Be Getting Married at This 16th-Century Italian Fortress

Forte Belvedere: Firenze Today / Forte Belvedere

May 24 can’t come soon enough, because that’s when Kim Kardashian and Kanye West will (hopefully? maybe?) officially tie the knot, and then we’ll know exactly which palace they got married at — whether it’s in Paris or Italy.

People is now reporting that Kim and Kanye are having their rehearsal dinner in Paris and then flying their guests to Florence, Italy, where they’ll be married at the Forte di Belvedere, a fortress built in the 16th century. Italian media is also confirming the location.

The fortress was once used as a shelter from attack, but since then, a villa has been built within the property to serve as an event venue.

Kanye spent several days in Florence this week at the Italian designer Ermanno Scervino’s atelier, which could mean he’s getting his tux there. Since Kim’s dress is reportedly being made in Paris and Kanye’s tux could be made in Italy, this is one geographically complicated wedding.

Will Kimye be saying oui or si next weekend? At this point, literally anything is possible.

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
