Is Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s Wedding Invitation Fake?

Kimye Wedding Invite: UsWeekly / TheKnot.com Us Weekly

The ticket — err, invitation to Kimye’s “small and intimate” Paris wedding was recently obtained by Us Weekly, and while the gold foil lettering on the gray linen cardstock is chic, we’ve got to wonder if it’s the real deal.

For starters, so many rumors have whirled about Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s nuptials that this invite may have been released to throw any crashers and press off the scent. Secondly, we know the couple likes to do things big, and this minimalist invite just doesn’t seem showstopping enough for them.

Also, their full names aren’t used, and we were expecting to see Kimberly Noel Kardashian and Kanye Omari West front and center. However, like their fashion sense, they may just want to make things as simple as possible on this invite that doesn’t share any details — except black-tie dress and a rehearsal dinner with cocktail attire required. The locations are also blurred out.

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
