This Wedding Is All-Out Nautical –> See The Photos!

When Ryan met Jamie (a member of the college sailing team), he told her that she was the most “nautical” person he knew. So when it came to planning their wedding on the shores of Lake Michigan, the theme for the day was a no-brainer.

The two hired the talented planning and design team at Hey Gorgeous Events to help them with their lakeside wedding. And the result? A natural waterside setting with an elegant tent (by Fairy Tale Tents & Events) and lots of scene-setting sophisticated details like driftwood accents, an open-air  lounge with amazing rentals like upholstered wingback chairs (from AFR Rentals and Special Events Rentals), custom stationery (by Laura Hooper Calligraphy), sailor stripe table linens (from I Do Linens), and so much more. The photographers from Harrison Studio captured every nautical detail here and below. Take a look!

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
