Boston Marathon Bombings Survivor Got Married at Fenway Park (Watch!)

Even though Marc Fucarile lost his right leg in the Boston Marathon bombings last year, his childhood sweetheart and fiancee, Jen Regan, had one requirement when it came to marrying him: She wanted him to be able to dance on their wedding day. Marc is in a wheelchair most of the time, since he also has severe burns on his left leg.

“We’ll get married as soon as he’s able to dance,” Jen told Cosmopolitan. “That’s my deal.”

Jen and Marc, who were engaged at the time of the marathon, wed last Thursday at Fenway Park as Marc stood for most of his wedding day and happily danced the first and last dances.

Guests arrived in swan boats; Jen and Marc’s five-year-old son, Gavin, was the best man; and to top it all off, the couple was surprised and serenaded by special guests the Dropkick Murphys.

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
