A Glass-Enclosed Botanic Garden Wedding? Right Here

The wedding venue is called the Planterra Conservatory and it’s this glass-enclosed botanical garden in West Bloomfield, Michigan. Inside there are hundreds of beautiful plants and flowers, making it the perfect backdrop for a wedding ceremony and reception. To complement all of the natural plants, Carly and David’s planner from Viva La Diva helped them come up with a color palette of coral, deep purple and gold. Then they brought their fall wedding to life with low lush centerpieces, gold accents, surprising patterns (like a honeycomb motif inspired by David’s bee-keeping hobby), and fun paper details (designed by  Alisa Bobzien). The day of the wedding, Carly and David exchanged vows in the botanic garden (by the way, that pretty flower wedding dress is by Christos!) and then celebrated with friends and family right there in the garden among candlelight and cafe lights. The photography team at Jess + Nate Studios captured it all (see below and here).

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
