If You Love Cats, You Will Love This Funky Brooklyn Wedding

Natasha and Doug are a quirky, fun-loving Brooklyn couple whose funky cat-themed wedding caught our attention. The couple and their family and friends came together at The Green Building in Brooklyn, a former brass foundry, for a lively celebration full of bright colors and funky personal touches.

The day unfurled  with a simple ceremony, followed by a parade around the neighborhood with the Hungry March Band that could rival any New Orleans second line. The fun continued during the reception, where bright blooms by Tom Borgese Floral Design, patterned linens (with fat cats!) and eclectic centerpieces with illustrated bunting and bronze cat statues delivered major personality to the rustic, industrial space.

The team at Events by Melissa McNeeley took care of every last detail with the help of Broadway Party Rentals, Pies-N-Thighs catered the event with mouth-watering American fare and Sharp Shooter Signs created all the table numbers and signage for the day. See all the photos shot by Tanveer Badal Photography below and here.

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
