Would You Swap Your Engagement Ring for Another Like Jessica Alba Did?

When did Jessica Alba decide to pull an engagement ring switcheroo? It looks like the actress swapped her sparkler out for another before she got married to her now-husband, Cash Warren, in 2008. Jessica’s first engagement ring was an emerald-cut diamond with a halo setting, and now her bling is a round cushion-cut diamond on a gold pave band.

Maybe Jessica has multiple engagement rings and switches them out (lucky gal), or maybe she just wasn’t feeling her first ring that much and wanted a different setting — and it looks like Cash was very understanding!

It’s not uncommon at all to “upgrade” your engagement ring to a larger stone or setting, but it doesn’t look like Jessica “downgraded” at all, since both of her rings are gorgeous.

I wouldn’t trade. The memory of the moment is more meaning to me than what I am actually getting. Sure we all have our taste, that’s why I would make sure he knows to ask my sisters opinion first lol

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
