Countless couples have danced to Elton John’s songs at their weddings, and now Elton is going to have a wedding of his own! Since same-sex marriage in Britain has been legalized, Elton and his longtime partner David Furnish (who have been in a British Civil Partnership together since 2008) have made plans to get married in England in May.

“We’ll do it very quietly,” Elton said in an interview on the Today show. “But we will do it and it will be a joyous occasion and we will have our children [Zachary and Elijah]… For this legislation to come through is joyous, and we should celebrate it. We shouldn’t just say, ‘Oh, well we have a civil partnership. We’re not going to bother to get married.’ We will get married.”

To celebrate Elton and David’s upcoming wedding, here are our favorite Elton John songs for weddings in no particular order, with the best lyrics that make them so darn emotional:

1. “Your Song”

Best lyric: “I hope you don’t mind that I put down in words how wonderful life is while you’re in the world.”

2. “Can You Feel The Love Tonight”

Best lyric: “It’s enough for this restless warrior just to be with you.”

3. “Tiny Dancer”

Best lyric: “But oh how it feels so real, lying here with no one near.”

4. “The One”

Best lyric: “When stars collide like you and I, no shadows block the sun.”

5. “Something About The Way You Look Tonight”

Best lyric: “I need to tell you how you light up every second of the day.”

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
