Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross Wore Feathers and Fur at Their Engagement Party!

When you’re Diana Ross’s son, how can you ever have a low-key party? Ashlee Simpson and her fiance, Evan Ross, upped the glam factor at their engagement celebration on Wednesday (that also happened to be Diana’s 70th birthday) in the most fun and festive way possible.

Ashlee and Evan wore coordinating ivory and gold looks, with Ashlee wearing a gold dress and tunic with a fabulous white feather headpiece and Evan sporting a pretty phenomenal short-sleeve fur coat. The party was held outdoors with lots of twinkling lights and heat lamps. Ashlee posted a sweet picture on Twitter of she and Evan kissing with the caption, “What an amazing engagement party with all of our loved ones! We gettin’ married :).”

Jessica Simpson was also at the party wearing a short white dress and and posted a cute picture on Instagram hugging her sister. “Celebrating my best friend and sister @missbananahammock @ashleesimpsonofficial. I love her so much!”

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
