Oscar Dresses That Could Double As Wedding Dresses

Neutral tones and beautiful metallics were a huge trend last night on the Oscars red carpet. And we saw so many dresses that would be exceptionally beautiful walking down the aisle. Here are our favorites!

Pale. Prada. Perfection. The Oscar winner, who’s been consistently wowing us during her first award season, did not disappoint. The dress was angelic but sexy and modern at the same time. And that headband was a perfect addition!

Kristen Bell said on the red carpet that her Roberto Cavalli gown paid homage to Frozen in which she voices one of the characters. We love it (and that movie!) and could see this dress on many a beautiful bride.

The cap sleeves might be our favorite part of Naomi’s gorgeous white Calvin Klein Collection gown. It was so simple and so elegant — and that red lip was stunning!

With her wife hosting the big night, Portia really turned it up in this intricately patterned cream Naeem Khan dress. Long live the laser cut! PS: We loved Ellen Degeneres’s white Saint Laurent tux too.

If only we could walk down the aisle in Chanel Couture. While this may not be possible, we know this column gown will inspire us all for years to come.

The tiered fringe on Jennifer Garner’s silver Oscar de la Renta dress was reminiscent of a wedding cake, in the best possible way. And just think how fantastic this would look on a dance floor.

The Elie Saab Couture sparkler is a perfect option for an elegant bride who’s not afraid to wear long sleeves. In fact, we’d highly suggest stealing Angie’s hair and makeup styles too.

This dress is pure class, just like Cate—and her Oscars speech last night. She notes that the beautiful beading was heavy, but worth it. Yes—yes it was!

This dress by our new favorite bridal designer, Joanna Johnson, was body-skimming, beaded perfection. We especially loved the train, which was enough to make a statement without being overwhelming.

We first saw this dress at the Badgley Mischka bridal fashion show and fell in love with this dress! Way to pick ’em, Kelly O. Of course, we approve.

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
