5 Tuxedo Trends Spotted For Your Groom At The Oscars

Even though there were tons of sharply-dressed actors at the Oscars yesterday, we noticed that there was a serious shortage of classic black tuxedos on the red carpet! From white and navy tuxedos to — dare we say it — shorts, here are five major fashion statements to inspire your groom.

White Out

Best Actor winner Matthew McConaughey took the plunge and wore a white Dolce & Gabbana jacket (that he looked oh-so handsome in), paired with a black satin bow tie and a black vest and pants. This look is perfect for a fancy black tie wedding.

Pop Of Color

Best Supporting Actor winner Jared Leto stood out on the red carpet and rocked two new red carpet trends — a white Yves Saint Laurent tuxedo jacket and black tuxedo-lined pants, and a carmine silky red bow tie for extra flair. This unique look is great for a hip hotel wedding.

Fancy Pants

We can always depend on Pharrell to keep us on our toes. If he’s not rocking a big hat, he’s wearing Lanvin tuxedo shorts on the red carpet with his wife, Helen Lasichanh, which could be a fun and fresh look for a wedding in the tropics.

Midnight Blues

Kevin Spacey looked extremely dapper in a modern Burberry midnight blue suit, with a plunging lapel and a classic black bow tie — and we think Frank Underwood would definitely approve.

In The Navy

And last (but definitely not least), we can always count on Leonardo Di Caprio to make us swoon. His classic Armani tux in a dark navy shade made the actor look regal with his sophisticated look, perfect for a black tie affair.

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
