Did You Pin Wedding Photos Before You Were Engaged? (Take The Mashable.com Survey!)

Mashable Survey

It’s no secret that social media isn’t just making dating easier, but it’s also changing the way we wed! From announcing engagements via Facebook (last year’s survey revealed that 10% of brides update within minutes of their engagement!) to “pinning” your favorite engagement ring cuts. Did we mention that pretty cell phone charging stations for guests at the reception became a thing this year? For better or for worse, 45% of brides are using social media to announce, plan and pin wedding details to share with friends, fam, or followers– and this stat keeps growing. 85% of brides agree that the internet plays a huge role in their wedding planning, but what’s proper “web-etiquette” seems debateable. Is it okay to post pictures on Facebook of the bride or groom if you’re a wedding guest? Can you congratulate a friend publicly on their engagment before they make a status announcement? We teamed up with Mashable.com to find out how you’re using social media to plan your wedding.

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
