This Wedding Planned In 24 Hours Went Viral (The Reason Will Make You Cry)

Prepare your tissues because this story is sad and heartwarming at the same time. When bride Aly Femia found out her mom Kim Femia was unexpectedly diagnosed with terminal brain cancer she decided to act quickly to make sure her mom could be included in her wedding day. That meant pulling off her entire wedding in just 24 hours even though she’d planned to marry her fiance Anthony in September of 2015. The hospital and town rallied around Aly by donating food and flowers (according to Buzzfeed.com a doctor even offered to take her gown shopping) and they held the wedding in Yale-New Haven Hospital so Aly’s mom could attend on January 29. See photos from Aly and Anthony’s wedding below.

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
