Emma Thompson Wears Flats to SAG Awards (Steal Her Look!)

After a public heel-shame at the Golden Globes last week, Emma Thompson learned her lesson and did the unthinkable at the SAG Awards on Saturday night: she wore flats! Opting for a sensible pair of Christian Louboutin metallic flats this time around, the Saving Mr. Banks star proved you can look classy, yet still be comfy (and when your Emma Thompson, completely charming) without wearing sky-high heels. Since your wedding is your big red carpet moment, why not go for a pair of stunning metallic sandals or classic ballet slippers? Here are some that are totally wedding-worthy.

Love this article as I have been planning to wear flats on my wedding day in September! Do you know where we can find the Louboutins she is wearing?

If you’re still wondering where to find them, I just bought a pair today at my local Christian Louboutin Boutique (Costa Mesa,CA) If you’re close to any CL boutique, I’m sure they can order for you! Good luck

Great selection of flats. As wedding photographers we’ve seen so many variations of footwear and it’s always the brides in the flats that have the most comfortable time and stay in their shoes. The hardest part is finding a flat that’s appropriate for a wedding.

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
