Bride Films Walk Down the Aisle With Google Glass

Google Glass Wedding OkGlassIDo.com

It was only a matter of time for couples to find a role for Google Glass in their wedding, but Jessica Kuan may have made history as the first ever bride to record her walk down the aisle with the gadget for her wedding in August. The video seamlessly captures Jessica’s perspective from behind the veil as part of a project for a Tumblr called OkGlassIDo.com, which seeks to document the way technology is increasingly involved in traditions and relationships. The idea behind capturing the bride’s point of view isn’t new. In 2012 a bride hid a GoPro in her bouquet to record a similar perspective, in line with hyper documented wedding trend. Watch the video to see this bride’s Google Glass walk down the aisle!

As a wedding videographer, it makes me a tad sad that she wore that. Much of that could have been captured by a video camera behind her being manned by someone. Not exactly the same but her photos will always contain a piece of soon-to-be-outdated technology. I bet her grandkids will wonder why she is wearing that. It would be like if my wife had been carrying a boombox to do our own music.

EEEWWW. NO! If they were stylish looking it might be better, but this thing makes her look like a wanna be cyborg or something. She took the attention away from her beauty & her overall look on the wedding day and drew attention to a literal eye sore. Now those irreplaceable moments of walking down the isle (photos) are ruined with this dumb piece of technology just for a video that sucks. :o( Sad, but oh well.

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
