A Chic Christmas Wedding (That’s Not Red And Green!)

Red and green isn’t the only way to do a Christmas wedding. Texans Chandler and Franklin planned a sophisticated metallic and white wedding with subtle touches of green and berry, too. Dramatic draping, flocked Christmas trees and oversized white floral centerpieces wowed at the reception at Austin’s Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum. In the center of all the gorgeous wintry decor stood the centerpiece of the room, a 5.5-foot tall sugar flower-covered wedding cake from Sylvia Weinstock. Planner Barbara Shorts of Verve Austin filled the reception with fun surprises for the guests, like silver ornament favors, ivory pashminas and boxes to take home extra desserts. Photographer Jennifer Lindberg Weddings even pulled off a surprise for the couple when she set up a framed photo of the very recent kiss at the altar next to the guestbook! See all the glam festive wedding details below and here!

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
