A Cozy (And Glitzy!) Winter Wedding

Snow boots and an Oleg Cassini ball gown: this is what happens when a glam bride and an outdoorsy groom plan a highly personalized winter wedding! Juliana and Shane’s cozy ceremony and reception took place  in the bride’s hometown of State College, PA at General Potter Farm, where the bridal party and family pitched in to create DIY reception decor like glittery pinecone escort cards and a moss-covered monogram sign. The bridal party style represented the high-low feel of the wedding, with the bridesmaids in mix-and-match gold sequin dresses and the groomsmen in dark jeans, sweaters and plaid ties. From the romantic woodland invitation suite to the adorable snowy couple’s shots, Lauren Fair Photography captured the pretty contrasts in this December wedding. See the creative wintry details (like green rock candy champagne stirrers and evergreen bouquets!) below and here.

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
