And The Wedding Color Of This Year Is…

Yesterday, Pantone announced that radiant orchid is the official color of the year for 2014, and we’re predicting it’s going to be a hot color for weddings too! Radiant orchid is a cross between purple and pink (which makes it perfect if you love both colors and just can’t decide). Like emerald, which was last year’s color of the year, this saturated hue is a rich jewel tone, but that doesn’t mean it’s only for fall and winter weddings. If you love bright colors then pair radiant orchid with teal or go simple and combine it with white for a fresh spring or summer palette! Moth and dendrobium orchids grow naturally in this modern color, so use them in your centerpieces and bouquet layered with other shades of purple and pink for eye-catching floral arrangements. See our style board below to find radiant orchid wedding inspiration!

Reblogged this on Weddings and Events with Ceonia Jr and commented:
Looking through a site that recommends wedding planners and coordinators, I found that most of the couples wanted some form of this color. I looked at about 50 profiles and more than half wanted one or more colors for their wedding that is in the orchid (purple) family. I believe this is a refreshing neutral color and my daughter loves all things purple, so it is a BIG PLUS!!!!

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
