Your Wedspiration Of The Day Is An Anniversary Pinata!

Instead of a traditional guest book this couple got creative and tied in the brides Mexican heritage with an anniversary pinata! Guests were encouraged to write notes and advice on slips of paper and put them in the pinata, which the couple planned to break open on their first anniversary. How fun and creative is that? See the photo and get inspired by Xaviera and Chris’ wedding pinata below!

I love this idea of an anniversary piñata at our wedding. I live in the UK though so do you know where I would be able to get one!?

you can get one on etsy…they ship worldwide. my friend had one last month at her wedding and I looked to get one for another friend’s upcoming wedding. shipping will cost more obviously but they have a good selection. the one in the picture is the one my friend got from naturecurios on etsy. it was $100. but they have heart shaped ones for about $25.

does anyone know where I can get a stand like the one the piñata is hanging from in this pic?

I made my own out of cardboard, hot glue, ribbon, construction paper and some twine…all items were either free, on clearance, cheap by using a coupon or on sale. I spent no more than $15 in supplies, and my heart-shaped piñata looks really nice! The stand I found at Hobby Lobby was $5.00, it was an after Christmas sale item at 80% off.

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
