9 Real Brides’ Wedding Ring Engravings

Danielle Fleck Events Danielle Fleck Events

The custom of engraving wedding bands dates back to medieval Europe, when couples would include phrases from romantic poetry on their bands. We love how romantic this tradition is, so we asked real brides on Facebook about their wedding ring engravings, and many of them were creative and unexpected. Get inspiration and ideas here.

1. “You are the best part of my day.” – Lindsay

2. His says, “My favorite souvenir.” We met at Walt Disney World. – Brandice

3. Mine- “I love you.” His – “I know.” – Kait

4. Mine will say, ”I believe in us.” – Sharolyn

5. My engagement ring has “I will…” and the date of our engagement. Our wedding bands will say “I do…” with our wedding date. – Dana

6. “Forever.” Simple as that. – Sarah

7. Mine will say, “to infinity,” and his will say, “and beyond,” with possibly the date as well. – Amanda

8. Ours say, “Happily ever after 11-8-13.” – Holly

9. “Forever – Pinky Promise,” because we always pinky promise whenever we really mean something. – Lexi

my husbands band says “after all this time?” and mine says “always” I had him go to the engraver and he instructed them to engrave it upside down. he had no idea which way my ring was to be worn. (it fits under my marquise diamond) I love it even more since now it has a hint of his dorkiness too. :)

I engraved my husband’s as a surprise. I fainted the night I met him, so I engraved his with “Forever swooning for you.”

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
