The Must-See Central Park Pug Proposal

Brace yourself for what might be the most adorable proposal of all time. As if getting engaged in Central Park isn’t already romantic enough, the groom-to-be Ed added an even cuter element by wrangling an NYC pug meet-up group to surprise his fiance Alex with a troupe of the wrinkled dogs accessorized with pink heart-shaped balloons. How sweet is that?!

Sixteen pugs and their owners showed up for the surprise proposal on the Bow bridge. The couple doesn’t have a pug yet but they’re planning to get adopt one soon. On the day of the proposal, they even decided on a name for their future pug. It’ll be named Bow, to commemorate the place where they got engaged. (Cue the awwws.) If you’re not giddy already, then just wait until you see the photos below of all the decked-out dogs plus Alex’s surprised reaction!

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
