Bride Chooses Her Horse To Be A Bridesmaid

Yep, you read that right. UK bride Alex Wells chose to have two bridesmaids and one of them was her thoroughbred horse named Toffee. The bride dressed Toffee in purple ribbons and a matching bridle to coordinate with her other bridesmaid’s purple gown. Unfortunately though, Toffee was not allowed into the church during the ceremony. We can understand wanting to involve or honor your favorite pet. Plenty of couples include their dogs — but this may be the first ever horse bridesmaid. See the photos below (and be glad you didn’t have to split bridesmaid duties with good old Toffee).

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
