Rider Strong (Of Boy Meets World) Is Having A Summer Camp Wedding

People.com People.com

After proposing to girlfriend Alexandra Barreto with a pretty three-diamond engagement ring among the Redwood trees last winter, Rider Strong (better known as Shawn Hunter from Boy Meets World) is getting married this weekend at a summer camp in Oregon. There’s talk of a ropes course, outdoor games, and a talent show. Oh, and all the guests will be sleeping in bunks, Rider told E! News.

A wedding at a summer camp might seem like a crazy idea, but think about it: It’s like the rustic version of any other destination wedding venue. The location is remote, there are tons of built-in activities for guests to play and all the amenities (albeit not silk sheets) are there. Even better, a summer camp wedding guarantees yours will look different from anyone else’s.

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
