Top 10 Wedding Ideas To Steal From The Knot Gala!

Every year we host a party at The New York Public library to celebrate all things wedding and wrap up bridal fashion week. This year, the party was designed by Brian Worley from Your Bash! and featured a Hollywood with an Edge theme which means gilded lounges, dramatic red floral arrangements and black and gold invitations! See the photos  (and video!) below to see all the detalis and steal inspiration for your wedding.

Watch the video to see the party, including a musical performance by Hank Lane Music and The Knot editors wearing Rent the Runway (you know it’s perfect for bridesmaids, right?).

Define The Dance Floor With Luxe Lighting

Especially in a large space like the New York Public Library, lighting is an easy way to create a feeling of separation between different parts of the party. Double up on floor AND ceiling lights to set the tone for a glamorous affair.

There’s so much more to champagne mixed drinks than just mimosas or even bellinis like the Chandon Scene Stealer which mixes together Chandon bubbly, Raspberry liquer, cranberry juice and fresh berries to create a pink cocktail with sparkle. St. Germain also makes a mixer that’s subtle and sophisticated, and pairs well with champagne too!

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
