Top 10 Wedding Ideas To Steal From The Knot Gala!
Every year we host a party at The New York Public library to celebrate all things wedding and wrap up bridal fashion week. This year, the party was designed by Brian Worley from Your Bash! and featured a Hollywood with an Edge theme which means gilded lounges, dramatic red floral arrangements and black and gold invitations! See the photos (and video!) below to see all the detalis and steal inspiration for your wedding.
Feature A Coordinated Candy Bar
Obviously almost everyone enjoys candy, and tying the bar into the decor with linens and complementary colors like this one designed by Couture Candy Buffets means the dessert will double as decor!
Serve Cake Pops
Everyone already knows that cake pops are amazing, and they’re wedding-ready wearing a chocolate tux and frosting frills for a bride and groom theme like these cake pops by Fabipops.
Provide Interactive Food Stations
Watching this gourmet cotton candy from Fluff Pop is half the fun of eating it. Whether you have a hand-rolled sushi station or a breakfast for dinner customizable omelette bar!
Remind Guests To Share The Love
If you love the idea of having your whole wedding featured instantly on Instagram then make sure to have reminders for guests to use their hashtag. Pretty reminders throughout that tie in with the decor, like these signs by Ceci New York do the trick!
Define The Dance Floor With Luxe Lighting
Take this display from Fusion Lighting for inspiration. Creative lighting like this floral motif let guests know where the party is going down. Especially in a large space like the New York Public Library, lighting is an easy way to create a feeling of separation between different parts of the party. Double up on floor AND ceiling lights to set the tone for a glamorous affair.
What better way to remind your guests of the fabulous time they had than with a subtle nod to the venue or theme. Take these bookmarks for example, they matched the invitations also designed by Ceci New York and remind guests of their night at the library.
Serve Appetizers With Dipping Options
Abigail Kirsch took party favorites like pigs in a blanket to the next level with gourmet dipping sauces like cheddar ale fondue!
Candles add warmth to modern monochromatic floral arrangements by David Beahm Design and a mirrored table.
There’s so much more to champagne mixed drinks than just mimosas or even bellinis like the Chandon Scene Stealer which mixes together Chandon bubbly, Raspberry liquer, cranberry juice and fresh berries to create a pink cocktail with sparkle. St. Germain also makes a mixer that’s subtle and sophisticated, and pairs well with champagne too!
