Vera Wang Fall 2014 Wedding Dresses

Vera Wang‘s Fall 2014 bridal collection was anything but white. “Pink as sensual, pink as seductive, pink as dreamy, pink as sophisticated, pink as strong, pink as cool,” were the words the designer used to describe the vibrant bevy of dresses revealed on the runway. Of note: Petal, rose, coral and peony, shades of pink in every degree, define the collection. Traditional silhouettes including ball gowns and mermaid styles in varying levels of fullness took center stage, as did floral focal points done in silk faille, hand-draped tulle and organza. Let’s just say these gowns are not for the shrinking violet. It seems Wang’s aesthetic for fall is unapologetically bold. Take a look at the entire collection below.

All of the models have no breasts to fill these dresses out more…it don’t look right, they all look like skeletons and as far as this amateur designer goes, these are definitely different…but the dresses look more like bridesmaids or even prom dresses…

These dresses are beautiful… But not for a bride. They look like prom or bridesmaids dresses. I expected glam, not slam from Vera Wang…smh.

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
