Patrick Stewart Is Married (And Ian McKellen Officiated!)

Sir Patrick Stewart's Wedding Ceremony John von Parmer Photography via

Sir Patrick Stewart of Star Trek and X-Men got married on the banks of Lake Tahoe last week and there’s this cute photo (by Brooklyn-based wedding photographer John von Pamer Photography) to show for it! A few of the details: Sunny Ozell wore a stunning in a lace cap sleeve gown by Temperley London and Ian Mckellen (you know, Magneto from X-Men?) officiated the ceremony. Yeah, you read that right.

Oh, and there’s this too. A tweet from Sir Patrick Stewart last week just after the wedding…

Although there’s no photo of a wedding cake yet, we are just going to go ahead and assume that it looked something like this…

These two actors are respected and renowned classical actors in the UK, and have both worked for The Royal Shakespeare company, with long established careers in theatre as well as film. Sad they are defined in the U.S. by two cult sci fi action movies, isn’t it! I’m sure Patrick Stewart didn’t have a Star Trek cake..he’s probably sick of it!! Lol, wonder if he said “let it be so” instead of “I do” though….;-)

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
