I have really strong feelings about music for wedding receptions. We had agonized over whether to choose a band (a particular live band) or one of many disc jockeys for our once in a lifetime reception. We finally settled on an expensive live band. Well, about 3 weeks before the wedding, the band leader contacted us and told us he had to cancel. Ughhh!! We decided to switch at the last minute and hire a disc jockey. Now that we have experienced all this we are glad of our choice, and that is my point: disc jockeys now a days are simply a better choice. They can play so many different types of music. That’s my opinion, my review if you will, but our reception was terrific. We all had a great time. I guess I would like to ask your knotties reading this, don’t you agree that disc jockeys now a days really are the best way to go for a successful reception? I look forward to the feedback. (I am now helping my sis plan her wedding!!) Thanks to all!

Hoping to get some responses. My sis is really wanting a live band she saw at a nightclub about 30 miles from where she lives but I am telling her to go with one of the disc jockeys we have to choose from here. I know my opinion: disc jockeys now a days can just play a wider selection which is important because of the vast age ranges she will have at her reception. And they are going to be cheaper which matters a lot to her. I checked one particular disc jockey’s reviews and they were almost all good. So that might be my advice to her. So again, I ask the question: with all the digital music these guys can play now, don’t you agree that disc jockeys now a days are an even better choice vs a live band than they were 10 years ago when they were using cd’s and stuff like that? I hope somebody responds. Thanks girls.

When I originally commented I clicked the “Notify me when new comments are added” checkbox and now each time a comment is added
I get several emails with the same comment.

Is there any way you can remove me from that service?

    Many thanks!

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
