New Photos From Kelly Clarkson’s Engagement Shoot!

Kelly tweeted another photo from her engagement shoot today. This time there’s no question about: Kelly is wearing a wedding dress, and it’s by one of our favorite designers, Marchesa! Does the gown look familiar? You may recognize it from Winter 2012 issue of The Knot Magazine!

Kelly Clarkson might be an A-list celebrity who’s photographed all the time, but just like any other bride she was excited to share the first photo from her engagement shoot. On Thursday Kelly tweeted:

The detail everyone’s talking about? Kelly’s outfit! The singer wore a white ball gown that looks like…well, a wedding dress. While we think she looks amazing, this definitely isn’t the typical outfit choice for an engagement shoot. Usually the engagement shoot is an opportunity to wear an amazing new outfit or the most flattering dress in your closet. That or you pick a theme (like this retro beach shoot I love!) and go with it.

Even though the wedding isn’t until October 20, it looks like Kelly couldn’t wait another three months to wear a big white dress. Can you blame her? The former American Idol winner looks stunning, and the library setting totally fits her “girl-next-door” persona.

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
