A Watercolor Wedding at Villa del Lago from Christina Carroll Photography

Calling all artistically inclined and design-savvy couples! Take note from this pretty wedding at Villa del Lago  in Austin, Texas because all of the details from Austin and Steven’s wedding were inspired by a painterly watercolor theme. The couple started with a color palette of sherbert, seafoam, light lavender and gray and then incorporated lots of artsy elements into the day’s details — including an ombre rose petal ceremony aisle and a paint chip escort card display. Spring flowers and vintage chairs with pops of gold (I’m loving the gold milk glass centerpiece vases) served as reception decor to seamlessly pull it all together. See all the gorgeous photos below by Christina Carroll Photography.

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
