If you have…curly hair

To enhance and define curls apply a texturing spray into your hair. Use your fingers to lightly twist your curls to keep them loose and natural looking. The key is to avoid overly curly hair, which can look dated, by using a curling iron to smooth the curls. And remember, air drying is best for curly hair.

If you have…fine hair

For fine hair, you’ll want to create volume by setting your locks in velcro rollers. To make sure you lock in the height, apply a mist of finishing spray to each section before you roll. Then mist the entire head, allow it to set, then remove and brush. Just remember this tip: Too much volume and backcombing on top for fine hair gives off a see-through effect. Keep the hair slightly flatter for a denser look.

If you have…straight hair

If you have straight hair, you’ll want it to look flawless and that means enhancing shine! Your hair should be well conditioned and healthy. Try a series of conditioning and restructuring treatments at your salon or at home for a couple of weeks leading up to the big day. Play up straight hair’s shine with a shine serum and try a half up, half down look—it’s graphic, sleek and modern, emphasizing length and shine.

If you have…coarse hair

Coarse hair can be unruly and difficult to style. Invest in a great blow out and keep it smooth longer at home with a styling product. Generally coarse hair lifts from the head, which can exaggerate the rough texture. Create the illusion of compact, smoother hair by using a thermal styler and smooth and stretch your strands with a flat iron.

If you have…frizzy hair

Updos and sleek braids are perfect for frizzy hair. Remember frizzy hair lacks moisture and proteins. Use a leave-in conditioner to replenish your strands and give hair what it needs so it gives you the style you want. Lock out frizz and humidity by finishing your look with a humidity blocker. A final polish of a shine serum insures that your hair looks radiant on your wedding day!

If you have…wavy hair

Preparation is the key to perfect waves on your wedding day. Work with your hair not against it. If you’re thinking sleek “Gatsby” waves, using a diffuser is a great way to enhance and control waves and texture. Use a curling iron to create the desired curls (the bigger the barrel, the larger the waves) and don’t forget to apply a thermal protectant to your hair to  protect against heat damage. Finish your look with an ultimate hold power spray.

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
