A Chic Low-Country Wedding at Runnymede Plantation by Liz Banfield Photography

Event planner Tara Guerard transformed a low-country plantation into a picturesque setting for Candice & Graham’s ceremony and reception. The wedding had a relaxed yet refined feel, with decorative touches like an upholstered lounge area and the dramatic grid of lemon leaf garlands that lined the reception tent. I love that this wedding maintained a chic simplicity with Southern touches like low-country lemonade and oak trees that were used as a theme throughout the entire wedding. Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
